Pneumatic Finger Abrasion Wear & Contact Tester
Operating Instructions

Use shipping box as a sound dampening cabinet.
There are three pressure springs 8oz., 16oz, and 32oz included. The Spring will slip out when the finger pad is taken off of the rod adapter. Choose pressure spring required and place in piston rod adapter.
Be sure to keep the rod adapter tight on the cylinder rod. Install a finger pad onto the rod adapter assembly. There should be approximately 1/8" travel on the finger pad.
Place part in position to be tested. Pull piston rod to fullest extended position. Adjust cylinder mount plate so there is 1/16" preload on finger pad when it touches the part. Never let pad spring be completely compressed at the end of a stroke or the resulting pressure will be too great!
Adjust air pressure to 60 lbs, set counter, then turn on air toggle switch.
Put 4 drops of cylinder oil (supplied) into top cylinder air fitting every four hours. (See above photo)
Turn air toggle switch off when finished testing.
Countdown Counter Operation
Air toggle switch should be off to set counter. Hold reset button down while setting counter. Turn air toggle switch on to start testing.

After counter has counted down turn off the tester and push the reset button. The counter will then reset to the last digits entered. Turn tester back on if more cycle counts are needed.
