Checking paper to master specimen.

We have been contacted by customers saying some of the paper they are using does not match the cycle counts on the "master specimen", which was shipped with the machine.

When testing a roll of paper on the "master specimen", we suggest running a test on the "master specimen", then establish a factor so when multiplied times the cycle count of test, would give you the same count as the original count on the "master specimen".

Example: Say the "master specimen" has a count of 40 cycles, and you run a test close to it and get 50 cycles, multiplying by a factor of .8 with this paper would give you 40, which matches the "master specimen".

Formula: The "master" test record divided by your new test result, yields the factor count which can then be used for the rest of that paper roll.

Note: Even though the tests may differ in succession, when you use the "factor" for each test, the results should be the same for each comparable test.

Note: Some users of this equipment keep the paper in a 120 degree oven when not in use.
